GFY Facebook App

This project I helped design for at Rokkan this past summer. Its a GFY (go fan yourself) campaign by Stoli for facebook.   This app was a simple questionnaire for the user which at the end would give you a fan page for your “alter ego”.

I only did the illustrations for the quizzes and some UI elements.

Current Status

These past few weeks, I am been fortunate enough and very excited to freelance with B-reel (NYC) on a couple of their projects. Can’t really dwell into specifics at the moment, of course,  but its such a great place to work and always exciting to do new things.

One-a-day Origami

The fingers of the “green hand” was created but using a One-Cut technique, this is after the paper is intricately folded.  After cutting the paper in one spot, it unravels to look like a hand.

One-Fold-A-Day

I love the culture and art of Origami.  Everything about it I find fascinating. Not only is it artful but also mathematical.  Many people do tend to forget about the math aspects of it. I know I will be no expert, but I love to experiment and try new things. As a designer, I believe we do have duties to educate ourselves in the world with every craft and history there is. So this will be something I would like to practice in everyday ( . .eh. . .somewhat).   So here is my first one i’m posting!!

Jody Wood Photography

I helped a friend of my mother’s to set up a website for her photograph’s. A website that can help showcase her work in a simple and efficient manner. Seeing I only had less then 2 weeks to help her get this site up before the “25th International Juried Show at the Visual Arts Center 68 Elm St. Summit, NJ”(Joan Young, Associate Curator of Contemporary Art from the Guggenheim Museum, is this years’ juror.), in which one of her photo’s got selected to enter.
She was needing a site to constantly upgrade galleries or create new ones and I wasn’t sure if I would have the time to help her keep the maintenance on it in the future. This is where WordPress ( any CMS) is a godsend. So I didn’t really design a website from scratch but in the allotted time I had, I found a solution that saved time for both me and my client. Of of course it wasnt that simple, I had to setup some javascript and galleries. But I am happy found her a fast and easy solution to her needs and most of all that she also is content with it as well.
